I had the pleasure of serving on the Headquarters Advisory Committee for Employees with Disabilities at CRA with Rachelle. She was a wonderful, bubbly, positive person who made a difference in my life and I am sure in many others. I am very sorry for your loss.

My condolences to the Halpenny family.
Rachelle was dear friend and true inspiration for her colleagues at the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA). I was lucky to have had the opportunity to work and learn from her. She made a positive difference for many people working with disabilities at the CRA.

"A woman first, an athlete second, and way at the other end of the scale, disabled" this is how Rachelle (my sister-in-law) described herself while she was competing all over the world and winning lots of medals for Canada (mostly gold) in rifle shooting, table tennis, swimming, archery and track and field.
Rachelle, it's the athlete (too often ignored) that I want to light a candle for today. Even better, to carry the Olympic Torch for. (I still remember our long conversation, a couple of years ago, about your athletic achievements.). Bye Rachelle. Miss you. Salut Rachelle. Gros bisous. xoxox
