Rajiv Pathak Obituary
He is survived by his wife Jayana, his sons Sagar and Sujay, and his parents Sureshbhai and Mandaben.
Dr. Pathak and his family moved to Sacramento in the 1980's. He was a loving father, a dedicated husband, a true friend, an outstanding Neurologist, a philanthropist, and an individual beyond compare.
For those of us that have known him, he was very charming, witty, jolly and always willing to help. He was tireless in his support for family, friends, and the community.
He was one of the original members of Gujarati Samaj of Sacramento, served as a President of the Samaj, was a benefactor committee member, a founding member of Indian Association of Sacramento, Chief of Staff of the Marshall Medical Group, on the Religious studies advisory board of UC Davis and associated with many other organizations.
The impact that Dr Pathak has left in our lives and in our community will be remembered forever.

My step dad only saw Dr. Pathak once but that's all it took to see what a kind and caring doctor he was. He had a wonderful personality and smile. So saddened to hear of his passing.

I don't understand? I visited with him just three days before his passing. He was his affable outgoing self, with no indication of illness. I'll miss him.

We are so shocked by the news of Doctor Pathaks passing away. He was my fathers doctor. He was such a wonderful person and treated patients nice and professionally. Dr. Pathak was our daughter's neurologist. My husband and I smile whenever we think of his greeting to her at every visit: "So Ashley, what is my name?" She'd laugh and tell him she didn't know and he'd smile and say, in that deep, melodious voice, "Ashley, you can call me Doctor." He was so good with her and we are so grateful to have known him. Rest in peace Doctor Pathak.

We met Dr. Pathak through Dr. Patel and he left an impression on us - he was a well known and well respected member of the local community and yet was very approachable, and welcoming of us newbies. Dr. Pathak had a great sense of humor. I am shocked to hear about his passing and our heartfelt condolences to Jayana and rest of the Pathak family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Hello My name is Angelita m Kelley Dr.pathak has been my Mom's doctor for at least 20 plus years he's also helped with my grandpa and my aunt along with myself he's more than just a doctor in our family he was a close friend especially with my mom he's the whole reason we know what we know about her migraines amongst many other things that he's discovered in our family my mother will never be the same without him no one can really take his place he will be greatly missed and is always thought about in our family and especially by my mom Ruthie l Rowse

Dr. Pathak was one of those few people you meet in life where you get the sense he sees a bigger picture. His spirituality was an example to me personally and we can all learn something from his unconditional love for humanity. After working with him the past 23 years, I will greatly miss his smile, and positive attitude in all things. Rest in peace my friend.

I will miss Rajiv tremendously. He was a close friend for 31 years. He was such a gracious, affable and witty person. He was always ready to help with any family event and medical questions. He was a truly dependable friend. May God grant his soul a place in his heavenly abode.
