Ralph D. Jenkins, aged 74, of Clarksville, Tennessee, passed away on June 16, 2024. Born in Chicago, Illinois, on September 5, 1949, he was a cherished figure in his community and an exemplar of devotion and humility.

Ralph graduated from Kenwood High School in 1966 and furthered his education at Prairie State College, where he earned a degree in Business. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps from October 1966 until his honorable discharge in March 1969, embodying the Corps' values of honor and commitment.

In 1972, Ralph began a notable career at Illinois Bell/Ameritech, retiring in 2000 as a Senior Analyst. Not one to rest, he then pursued his passion for technology by starting his own website design business. Ralph was also deeply involved in his community as the Homeowner President of the Mary Lake Estates Residence and remained a lifetime member of the VFW Post 311.

Ralph's hobbies included bowling and playing music, activities that reflected his joyful spirit and love for life. He was always ready to offer his love, support, and encouragement to both family and friends, making every moment with him a cherished memory.

Ralph is survived by his loving wife, Regina Jenkins; daughters, Vicke and Delaine; brothers, Paul, Derrick, Keith, and Kyle; sisters, Samuela and Betty Ann; and his 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie D. Hand and Ralph D. Jenkins Sr.; his brother, Delmar Sonny Gilbert; and his grandson, Leslie D. Bridges.

Services to celebrate Ralph's life will be held at the VFW, located at 22341 Governors Hwy, Richton Park, Illinois, on July 23, 2024, from 12 noon to 4 PM. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Ralph can be made to organizations supporting homeless veterans, the Red Cross, and the Salvation Army, reflecting his lifelong commitment to service and community support.
