Ret. SFC Ralph Johnson Peavy, 81 of Huntsville, AL passed away Sunday, July 2, 2017. Mr. Peavy was preceded in death by his mother, Mattie Peavy; one son, Mark Fredrick Peavy; one daughter, Sharon Kay Dollar; one great grandson, Michael Garrett Mathes. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Charlotte Ann Peavy of Huntsville, AL; daughter, Deborah Suzanne Walters of Hazel Green, AL; sons, Michael Jeffery Peavy of Huntsville, AL and Ralph David Peavy of Knoxville, TN. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, Amy Marie Gates (Robby), Michael Key, Adam Key, Phillip Key, Malerey Peavy, Zack Peavy, Daniel Peavy, Dianne Peavy; 5 great grandchildren, Sharon Marie Gates, LCpl Caitlin Nicole Gates, Kimberly Key, Greyson Key, Teagen Key, Harper Lynn Peavy; two cousins, John Lester Peavy (Pat) and Mary Ann Wilson (Stanley) both of Uriah, AL.
You may visit with the family on Wednesday, July 5, 2017 from 6:00pm until 8:00pm at Valhalla Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be Thursday, July 6, 2017 at 2:00pm in Valhalla’s Chapel. Interment to follow in Valhalla Memory Gardens. Please sign his guest registry at www.valhallafunerals.com.

I used to work with Ralph at Lucky Hydraulics, it was just me and him for a while in the Machine Shop. Fond memories of him, he was a good guy.
