Ralph S. Riley

Ralph S. Riley age 71 of Gary,In .Ralph traded this life for eternity on Feb. 12th, 2025. He was born, June 20,1953, in Gary, IN to parents Sherman (Riley) Lee & Lois (Johnson) Faulkner. He was raised by Mr. & Mrs. Lipsky & Lydia Wesley. Ralph was a member of Metropolitan M.B. Church in Gary, IN. He attended the Gary Public School System and was one of the first students to integrate into GPS, attending Bailey, Lew Wallace & graduating from Emerson High School. He was well known in Gary to many, for working for all the different funeral homes at one time or another as a mortician. He was also a Deputy Coroner for Lake County. Last but not least, he was known for working for airlines such as American, Delta, and Northwest. He is proceeded in death by father, Sherman Lee, mother, Lois Faulkner, stepfather John Faulkner, 2nd father Lipsky Wesley, 2nd mother Lydia Wesley, brothers Marvin Lee, and Larry Evans, sister Rosalyn Lee and nephew Tramaine Evans. He leaves to cherish his memory, daughter, Jennifer Lynn Riley, granddaughters Savannah Trinity Allen and Cortlynn Carrington Tolbert, brother John L. (Lisa) Faulkner, sister Cheryl R. Faulkner, brother Brian (Marilyn) Faulkner, sister Lois Trotter, wife, Marsha Riley and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Memorial services for Ralph will be held Monday, March 3rd, 2025, at 12:00 p.m. at Powell-Coleman Funeral Home, located at 3200 W. 15th Ave. Gary, IN 46404.
