Ramón Sepúlveda Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 10, 2012.
Ramón A. Sepúlveda was born in San Germán, Puerto Rico, on June 14, 1916. After two years of college, he joined the U. S. Army in 1945 and became a top-notch non-commissioned officer. Ramón excelled in Hospital Administration and completed his military career as an Intelligence Officer. His many exciting assignments included four years in France, where he was awarded the Valley Forge Medal of Freedom for an exposé entitled, "Winning Friends for Freedom." He retired after 20 years of faithful service. Upon retirement, he returned to Puerto Rico where he became City Administrator for the capital city of San Juan. He will be deeply remembered for his love of family, friends and country. The door to his house and his heart was always open to all. Two years ago he and Elba celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with his 4 children, 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. His warmth, kindness and giving will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Elba Sepúlveda, and his four children, Dr. Raymond Sepúlveda, Esbelle Ramírez, Luis Sepúlveda, and Dr. Rene Sepúlveda. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, November 13, from 5:00-9:00 P.M. at Porter Loring Mortuary North.
