Ramona Luverne DuBois

DUBOIS, RAMONA LUVERNE Age 94, passed away in her home on March 31, 2006. She was born March 13, 1912 in Hollywood, CA. She graduated from Hollywood High School and earned her Bachelor's Degree in Home Economics from Santa Barbara Teacher's College in 1934. She married Zola DuBois on June 23, 1935. They were married 68 years until his death in 2003. Ramona was a teacher at Irving, Grant, and Hawthorne Elementary Schools in Riverside. She retired in 1974. She was active in church work, teaching Sunday School to preschoolers for more than 60 years. Her other interests were mission work, gospel music, and gardening. Mrs. DuBois is survived by four sons, John of Santa Barbara, David of Oklahoma, Mark of Arizona, and Paul of Riverside; one daughter, Ruth Beechen of Riverside; 13 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Services will be Saturday at 3:00 PM at Pierce Bros. Crestlawn Mortuary in Riverside. Memorial contributions may be given to Wycliffe Bible Translators.
