CASEY -- Ramona June Ritter, 76, of Casey, died at 4:47 p.m. Tuesday (July 27, 2004) at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, Ind. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Friday (today) at the Markwell Funeral Home, in Casey, with Brother Boyd Sellers officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Cemetery south of Casey. Visitation was 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. She was born May 19, 1928, in Tulsa, OK, to Joseph Herbert Hopkins and Geraldine Sophia Douglas Hopkins. She married Charles A. Ritter on May 9, 1946 in Newton, IL. Survivors include her husband, Charles A. Ritter of Casey; daughters, Gayle Fossoy and her husband Dan of Independence, KS, and Toni Humphres and her husband Jim of Rose Hill, IL; son, Brent Ritter and his wife Gina of Casey; granddaughter, Jennifer Humphres of Rose Hill, IL; three sister-in-laws: Joyce Hopkins of Lubbock, TX, Karen Hopkins of Kenmore, NY and Lois Ritter of Casey; a brother-in-law, Doit Ritter of Casey. She was preceded in death by parents and two brothers, Joe and Jim Hopkins. Mrs. Ritter was a homemaker. She was a member of the Walnut Chapel Church of Christ.
