I met Randi Freshman year at Emory University. We called ourselves the Connector Club. Randi is a main character in many of the happiest memories of my life. We had so much fun and grew up together in college. I must admit we probably spent more nights using our fake IDs sneaking into Trackside Tavern and then Eddie's Attic than I remember us studying. We went to Eddie's for her 21st birthday and Eddie got so mad (for a minute) when he realized we had been sneaking in for years. We spent all our special occasions there from birthdays and New Years Eve to our joint graduation party! I still remember her laugh like it was yesterday. As we were approaching graduation and still unsure what we were going to do with our lives, she talked me into applying for a job with the State of GA with her. We had a lot of fun working our first "real" job together before she moved to Colorado. I just retired from the State this year. I can't imagine what my life would look like without her influence and suggestion 30 years ago. I lost touch with her along the way. I am happy to see what a beautiful life she had. It looks like she was surrounded by wonderful people who loved and adored her, knowing that makes me so happy. She deserved the best. I am going to listen to some Ashley and Mark today and think of her and remember a time when getting old seemed so far away.

Randi was one of my best friends at Emory and in her Atlanta years before she moved out to Colorado and we gradually lost touch. I´ve thought of her often and our innumerable great times. This New Years Eve 1993 photo surfaced last night and I sent it around to some of our other close friends, and some quick research led us to this page. We are all devestated by this news. Sending love and strength to the Balkan and Fodor families. Rest in peace, Randi

Randi and Alex have been amazing friends over the years, always welcoming friends and family into their home regardless of all they were going through. Their love and friendship is truly admirable. I have been best friends with Alex since elementary school, and I never saw him so happy and so in love over these past two decades. While I am so sad at this time, I also feel so fortunate to have known Randi, whose generosity, intelligence, joy, caring heart, and strength have been an inspiration to all who knew her. Our thoughts and condolences are with both families during this difficult time.

Randi and I met at EY when our regions merged and our offices combined. We were on the same team, and I often tried to convince her to work on projects together (I always enjoyed collaborating with her!). We had a special way of making each other laugh and feeling supported, especially during challenging times. I truly treasured her sense of humor, compassion, and resilience, especially knowing what she was going through personally. Her time with us was far too brief, and I extend my deepest condolences to Alex and their family. I will always remember her infectious laughter, which will stay with me forever.

How proud I have always been to call you my daughter-in-law. The love you and Alex shared was deep and something to be admired. I remember about a year ago, with a small window of feeling better, doing cartwheels in the backyard with your nieces and nephew. What a joyful moment! You showed more courage and determination than I have ever seen. You gave it your all. You will remain in our hearts forever

Randi´s intelligence, humor and personality were the perfect match for Alex. The two complemented each other so well and lived life as one. She was also a fun and lovely addition to our family. She blended in and brought her own unique, charming character as both an engaging sister-in law and playful aunt. Stage 4 cancer couldn´t keep her from doing cartwheels and handstands with her nieces when requested. Through all her health struggles, she never outwardly complained. She took advantage of the good moments and disregarded the bad. She became slight in size over time but was, without a doubt, the toughest person I have ever met. We love and miss you Randi and are happy you are at peace.
