Randi Pinto Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 27, 2025.
Randi Pinto, the wife of Mike Pinto from Fresno, passed away on July 9th at home surrounded by her loving family.

Randi had fought a courageous battle for the past two years with courage, hope, and faith during her illness.

Randi was born on June 2, 1948 in Atlanta, Georgia. Her parents, Gladys and Ray Randall, chose the military as a career, moving frequently during his tenure. Randi graduated in 1967 from Terra Linda High School in San Rafael, California before settling in Fresno where she met Mike.

Her siblings, Linda Case and Russell Randell along with grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members held a special place in Randi's heart.

Randi's main hobbies were being an extraordinary wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a great cook and baker, making the best biscotti ever. Also, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting.

Randi and Mike would have celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary on September 21st. They were blessed with two children Jennifer Surabian and Tony Pinto. The joy and devotion to her grandchildren, Amanda and Nicole Pinto of Fresno and Ethan and Wesley Surabian of Monterey, brought such joy and pride from their precious times they shared together.

Randi's secretarial and office management skills in the medical field brought long term relationships with many staff members and doctors that she worked with before her retirement in 2019. She enjoyed her retirement time traveling with Mike, friends, and family.

A Celebration of Life luncheon time and place will be announced at a later date.

Remembrance can be sent to the Cancer Society in the name of Randi Pinto.

Mike, I am so sorry to hear of your wife's passing. You have shared lots of memories over the years including children and grandkids and now is the time for reflecting and thinking about all those good times and the with love in your heart. I am sad for you, in time the healing will come and reflection of all the good times will come into focus. Stay strong my friend, you have children and grand children need your attention also. Together you will help each other through the ups and downs and in the near future you all will be able to smile at each other and share wonderful stories about life with Mom and it will bring a smile to your heart. Take care my Mike, I'll see you down the road. Keith Marks

Mike, now is the time all those memories from the years gone by are so important. Visit them often for laughs and tears; sometimes simultaneously I´m certain. Hugs my friend!

Randi was my Chiquitita (little sister) and her loss is so heart breaking. I once told her that I didn't want her to die before me because I wouldn't be able to stand the pain. Her answer was, "So you want me to have the pain?" No, little girl, I would not want you to have this pain.

I learned so much about courage from her these last two years. I never heard her complain once and I know it wasn't easy. I will miss you for
ever. You are loved immeasurably and sorely missed.

Your loving sister,
Linda

Randi and I met at our place of work many years ago. Even though I moved away, we kept in touch for many years. Randi made an impact on me when we met that made me continue to consider her my friend always. While I hadn´t seen her for a long time, I will miss her. Mike, I´m sending you my sincere condolences. It´s very hard losing a spouse.
