Randolph Young Obituary
Affectionately known as "Uncle Randy," he played a significant role in raising his nieces and nephews, imparting valuable life lessons with kindness and encouragement. Randy had a heart of gold, always ready to lend a helping hand and share a laugh with those around him. A proud Oakland native, he was a devoted fan of The Oakland Raiders, Oakland A's, and The Golden State Warriors.
In his career, Randy worked at Sears call center, El Charro as a prep cook, UPS warehouse, and Rubio's as a prep cook. He found joy in his work and was respected by his colleagues for his dedication and hard work.
Randy's educational journey included attending St Columba, St Martin de Porres, Golden Gate, and Santa Fe schools in Oakland, California, followed by St Elizabeth and Street Academy for high school. He furthered his education at D-Q University in Davis, California.
Outside of work, Randy enjoyed hobbies such as going to the shooting range, driving, fishing, playing cards and dominoes, and taking the kids swimming, to see snow, skating, or to the opera. His vibrant personality and love for life will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and community.
Randy is survived by his Son Randolph Faustine Young Jr aka "Joon", his Mother Elsie Garcia, his sisters Josie Garcia and Kiska Young, his brothers Ronnie Young and Randolph Young lll, numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
A service to celebrate Randy's life will be held at San Simon village on Saturday, April 27, from 5 pm to 12 am. The evening will include Mass at 7 pm, a rosary, choirs, and traditional singers. This will be the only viewing opportunity to pay respects to Randy.
