Dear Georgene and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, as we are remembering Randy. It shocks and saddens me to accept this reality. This feels especially tragic since Randy was too young, and although I'm one of his first cousins (on his Mother's side) we only met once when we were children.
You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers at this difficult time.
Our deepest condolences,
Joyce Green (nee Goff)

Ashanti and I are saddened by the news of Randy's passing and are enfolding his spirit and all who are missing him in our hearts and thoughts. May you, Georgene, and all the members of his extended family, find comfort in each other and strength in the knowledge that you are embraced by a large and generous circle of people who have been touched by Randy's kind radiance and by his pranks and ready laughter. I keep seeing him on the ball field. Much love,

Jamie, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Randy's passing. I visited Randy once at his lovely home on Gabriola many years ago. Georgene was not there and Randy had to leave for business but he was most generous in allowing me to stay anyway. I lost touch with Randy but will always remember him with smiling thoughts. I send my sincere condolences to you and the Hayward family during this difficult time.

I have fond memories of Randy as we both attended and played basketball together at Ross Sheppard High School in the early 60's. With Randy, the T-Birds were Provincial High School Champions in 1963, with Lee Fairbanks as coach. Randy was a pretty good athlete, teammate and caring human being, who was kind and had an infectious smile, which complemented his good looks. I do hope that the Hayward family's feeling of loss and grief will soon be replaced by fond thoughts and memories, and a knowledge that his spirit remains in all those he touched.

Randy will be deeply missed by both my husband, Dodd, and myself. He and Georgene were our travelling buddies and good friends. Dodd considered Randy his "golf coach", and attributes the improvement in his game to Randy's suggestions. The last game they played together in Hawaii last September was the best game Dodd ever played. Randykins, we will miss you.
