I have known Randy since the fall of 1976. We spent many hours working together over the years. He was a hard worker and good man. He seemed to always be in a cheerful mood and loved life. The last time I saw Randy was at the QT station on 176 and I-26. We stood and talked for about 20 minutes about family and old times. He made this world a better place and he will be missed by all who knew him.

Julie & Family: My family and I are heartbroken to hear of the passing of Randy. He has been a friend for many years. I first met Randy at Landrum High School, and we spent many hours together in the Science Department. Randy did science labs for me, and they were not just science labs because he made each one special. He had a self taught knowledge of many subjects, and was what I considered to be an expert in many fields. There wasn't anything Randy couldn't do! He would always find a way. I went to him often for his expert advice on many subjects. He was always willing to help me. Over a period of time, I learned a lot about his background and his hard work ethic. His hard work is reflected in his wonderful family. I will always remember that smile and the positive attitude that Randy had. I, along with many others, will miss Randy. I have too many fond memories to list here. Finally, Randy took pride in everything he did. He had that keen interest that not a lot of others have. My family and I wanted to express our sincere condolences to all of his wonderful family. May Randy rest in peace after so much work that was always well done.

I was very sad to hear the about the death of my dear friend Randy. Randy was one of the sweetest and kind person I knew. When he taught at Swofford Vocational School he would bring his students to Gilbert's Nursery that is where I worked in sales. That's where I met Randy. He taught my son a lot at Swofford. He really loves seeing the students take a interest in horticultural. My deepest sympathy to the family.
