Raymond Bishop Obituary

Raymond Leon Bishop was born July 4, 1929 to the late J.T. and Lydia Bishop. He grew up in The Heights and was a long time resident of Cypress, Texas. Raymond was an avid outdoorsman who loved to hunt, fish, bar-b-que, and camp, always putting his whole heart into everything he did, and he was strong in his faith. His four boys: Raymond Joe, Ricky, Randy and Robert, were his pride and joy. Raymond was a professional truck driver and retired from Harris County Pct. 3. He took great pride in serving his country during the Korean Conflict.
Raymond Bishop was preceded in death by sons, Raymond Joe Bishop and Robert Leon Bishop; and brothers, Vernon Bishop and John Bishop.
He is survived by sons, Ricky Frank Bishop and wife Kayla, Randy Patrick Bishop; daughter-in-law, Debra Bishop; grandsons, Raymond Joe Bishop, Jr. and wife Kristy, Douglas Bishop and wife Amber, Ricky Frank Bishop II; and a host of great grandchildren; sister, Janette Schrupp and husband Larry; numerous nieces and nephews; and constant companion, "Miss Kitty."
Visitation will be held 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Sunday, May 13, 2018 at Earthman Resthaven Funeral Home, 13102 North Freeway, Houston, Texas 77060. The Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 14, 2018 in the Chapel of Earthman Resthaven. Interment will follow at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Raymond Joe Bishop, Jr., Douglas Bishop, Ricky Frank Bishop II, Ryan Bishop, Steve Quance, Mike East, Ricky Bobo, and Glen Golden. Honorary pallbearer, Ronny Bishop.
