Dr. Raymond J. Clausman

Dr. Raymond Clausman died September 11, 2011 in Fort Wayne, Indiana where he resided for 47 years, he was 85 years old. He was born in Vincennes Indiana on December 11, 1925. He attended Concordia Lutheran High School in River Forest, IL. Dr. Clausman was one of the last 27 draftees of World War II, which he served as a crypto-analyst and taught code-breaking techniques to the allied officers in Germany at the end of the war. On returning home from Europe, Dr. Clausman took advantage of the GI Bill and received his Bachelor's Degree from Butler University. From there, he went on to earn his Masters Degree in Psychology from the University of Louisville, and finally his Doctorate Degree in Psychology from Michigan State. He married his wife of 54 years, Norma Jean Clausman, in Indianapolis, April, 1956. Dr. Clausman was employed with the Fort Wayne State Developmental Center for over 30 years. He headed up the department of Psychology Testing and Development, and devoted his entire career of helping to people with mental illnesses and other disabilities. He is survived by his wife Norma, 4 sons and 1 daughter, Gary R. Clausman, Jerry R. Clausman, Douglas K. Clausman, Ann M. Schlosser, and Steven C. Clausman, along with 14 grandchildren. A viewing of Dr. Clausman will be held at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home Maplewood Park, 4017 Maplecrest Rd. Ft. Wayne, IN 46815 Thursday evening September 15th, 2011 from 6 to 9pm.
