Mildred Stambaugh Obituary
Mildred was born August 3, 1920 in Wichita Falls to Barnum and Chloe Krebs Duncan. In 1940 she married Robert Paul Stambaugh in Bowie, Texas and together they raised three daughters. She retired from Jefferson Elementary School cafeteria. Mildred was a member of Wichita Falls Church of Christ Church, as well as a member of the American Business Women's Association, and the Postal Workers' Ladies Auxiliary. Her life was devoted to her family and home.
Mrs. Stambaugh is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Robert Paul Stambaugh in 1989; sisters, Gladys Mullins, Ruby Fuller; brothers, Harold Duncan, J.C. Duncan; and great-grandson, Joshua Clay Russey.
Survivors include her three devoted daughters, Patsy Wilson and husband Clifford of El Paso, TX, Cynthia Russey, Paula Stambaugh both of Wichita Falls; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, May 9, 2011 at Hampton Vaughan Funeral Home.
If desired, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Stambaugh family. Mildred assisted Opal Chasteen before she went into a nursing home in 1989. We always appreciated her patience and kindness.

Patsy and sisters, I read the Times obituaries from time to time and noticed your mother's passing. I hope that most of her 90 years were happy, healthy ones. I remember that she always had a sweet smile, and I remember good times spent with your family.
