It's with a heavy heart that the family of Raymond Lavoie Jr. announces his sudden passing, at home, on September 6th, 2022. Ray lived his life in two places, either on a lake fishing or on a hill skiing. Ray's family always came first and never missed a moment to show how much he loved them. His greatest treasure was his daughter Jessica. There wasn't a day he didn't tell someone how proud and how much he loved her. Until the grandchildren arrived and then the bragging started and if you knew Ray he liked to talk. Ray loved being a big brother to his two sisters. They had a special bond that he held close to his heart. Ray loved to fish so much he became a fishing guide in the summer. He would often take the young ones under his wing and show them “the way of the North” as he would say. This took him to places like Great Slave Lake, Kenora area and Bolton Lake. In the winter he took great pride working at the local ski hills. Ray had a unique love for the outdoors where he was able to live out his passions in life. Ray loved sports. He played football, baseball, softball, soccer, hockey and even coached minor hockey. In his quiet time he practiced his love of playing the guitar and writing music. Ray is survived by his daughter Jessica (Ryan), grandchildren Kai and Lexi, parents Raymond and Joyce, sister Christine (Jamie) Raynard, brother-in-law Warren Johnson, nieces Amanda, Kristie and Holly. Also a close friend Deb, special family friend Donna as well as numerous aunts, uncle and cousins. He is predeceased by his sisters Denise and Cheryl, grandparents LeRossignal and grandparents Lavoie. Cremation has take place. Online condolences can be done through Northwest Funeral Alternatives Inc. The family will celebrate Ray's life at a later date. Should you wish to honour Ray's life, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

My condolences to Raymond's family.
I curled with Ray back in the 80's and had not seen him for many years, then meet up with him at the ski hill. He'll be missed
