Rebecca Flemming Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Feb. 8, 2025.
Rebecca Lee Flemming, 77, of College Park, Maryland, passed away on January 6, 2025, in Mobile, Alabama.

Rebecca dedicated much of her career to Louis and Hitchcock, Inc., where she worked as a bookkeeper until her retirement. She had a deep love for animals and was a devoted supporter of the ASPCA, Best Friends Animal Society, and the World Wildlife Fund.

An avid Scottie Dog collector, nearly everything she owned featured the beloved breed in some way. She also had an immense passion for music, amassing an impressive collection of nearly 3,000 vinyl records by the time of her passing.

Above all, her greatest joy was her son, Billy, whom she adored beyond measure. He was not only her pride and joy but the light of her life.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her mother, Martha Mahaney; her father, John Mahaney; and her sisters, Margaret and Barbara. She is survived by her sister, Patricia Ann Brinkley; her son, William James Flemming (Brandi); and her niece, Barbara Ann Brinkley-Whitford (Lee).

The family would like to recognize Mickey Rinaldi and Marion Johnson for their unwavering friendship and lifelong devotion to Rebecca.

In accordance with her wishes, no services will be held.

Prayers for God´s comfort for Becky´s family. Always enjoyed the street-side chats on 38th Ave over the years during her dog walks. She also joined our neighborhood backyard picnics. - Wayne from 8804.
