Regina Thompson Obituary
Funeral services for Regina "Regie" Thompson, age 91, of Tyler will be 2:00PM Monday at Pleasant Retreat United Methodist Church with Rev James McMillan officiating, burial will be in Tyler Memorial park. Mrs Thompson was born November 11, 1921 in Overton to Ruel Kenneth and Lorene Perry Whittington and passed away on January 19, 2013 in Tyler. She and her husband Delbert owned & operated Rosemont Nurseries for 25 Years, 23 years as secretary for County extension office, she worked for attorney John Trube, she was a member of Pleasant Retreat United Methodist Church and a Graduate of Tyler High School and Tyler Junior College.
Survivors include Sons: Tom Thompson & Wife: Sue of Hideaway Lake, Delbert Kenneth Thompson & Bill Lessard of New York City, Daughter: Julia North & Husband Don of Magnolia, 3 Grandchildren, 7 Greatgrandchildren, Brothers: Joseph Whittington & Wife Phyllis of Portland, OR and 2 Nephews: Larry & Brad, 2 Nieces: Wendy & Murphy.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband Delbert & 1 Brother. Children: Billy Deanne and Della Jo
Visitation will be 1:00pm till service time at the Church

Regie was a mentor, counselor, inspiration and friend to me. To know her was to love her. She was a shining example of a life well lived. An absolute treasure - I'll miss her!

Ken,Julia,Tommy and Family We will miss our sweet Regie, her humor,the fun times,her genuine interest and concern for the lives of others that touched her life. She loved the Lord, her family, and contributed much to her church through the years. Mother and I loved her dearly. She will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved her . Joyce Stroud

I had the honor and privilege to work alongside Regie in the law office for a few years and found her to be so lighthearted and full of sparks, that the days flew by all too quickly. Smart and good humored, Regie was a grand delight. May God bless her, and her family.

To the funniest, sweetest, best Mother anyone could ever have. I will miss her for the rest of my life, but its easier knowing she's in a wonderful place now. I love you Mama.
