Rene Bilano, age 60, passed away surrounded by his loving family and was welcomed into Heaven on Monday, April 2, 2018 in Fort Worth, Texas.

He was born in Pecos, Texas to Josephine and Castulo Bilano on September, 12, 1957.

Rene graduated from Fluvanna High School in 1976, after which he joined the United States Navy. He served for three years. After leaving the service, he married the love of his life, Adriana Carrasco, and they were blessed with two children, Gyzenia and Sebastian.

He was an oilfield man who spent over 35 years in the industry. He had a brilliant mathematical mind and an even bigger heart. His generosity had no limit and touched many lives. He loved to play golf in his free time, but he enjoyed barbecues with the family, making his Crawfish Boils, and making his famous Chili-Beans (everyone now uses his recipe to make them). But, his biggest love was for his six grandchildren, who lovingly referred to him as Popo. His greatest joy in life was spoiling them. He will be greatly missed by each and every one of them.

Rene was preceded in death by his parents, Josephina and Castulo Bilano, and by his siblings, Paul Bilano and Helen Hernandez.

Left to cherish their memories are his wife of 35 years, Adriana Bilano; his children, Gyzenia (David) Tucker of Corpus Christi and Sebastian (Annette) Bilano of Fort Worth; his six grandchildren, Jacob Valdez, Christian Valdez, Jaxson Tucker, Faith Tucker, Sebastian Bilano, Jr., and Gabriella Bilano; his brothers and sisters, Dora (Manuel) Tijerina, Castulo Bilano, Jr., Daniel (Sheryl) Bilano, Henry (Tamara) Bilano, Joe (Maria) Bilano, Elizabeth (Wan) Napper, Noah Bilano, Pattie (Shannon) Crawford, Delores Bilano Holcomb, and John Bilano; as well as his cherished nieces, nephews and his many friends.

Visitation will be held with Family receiving friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2018 with Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. that evening at Holmgreen Mortuary Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 9, 2018 at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church in Agua Dulce, Texas with Father Jacob Valayath, Celebrant.

Interment with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Arrangements are entrusted to Holmgreen Mortuary, 2061 E. Main St., Alice, Texas.
