Rev. Anne Saegesser journeyed from her Earthly to her Heavenly home on November 25, 2024 while living in Midland, TX. Graveside funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, June 21 at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Effingham, IL. at 1:30pm, dress code is casual.

Anne was born August 20, 1947 in Effingham, IL, daughter of Richard and Helen Strobel. She is survived by sister Marilyn Ward (Dr. Howard Ward) of Topeka, KS. Anne and Terry Saegesser of Shumway, IL were married on June 19, 1965 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Effingham. They had two children, Doug (Jodi) Saegesser of Lake Havasu City, AZ and Tricia (Steven) Bowers of Midland, TX. In 1974, they adopted a brother/sister pairing, Lyman and Nita. They were married 59 years and their careers took them to several states including Ohio, Missouri, Kansas and Texas. After Terry's retirement, they returned to Illinois to care for Anne's mother. After her passing, they lived in Holiday Island, Arkansas for 5 years. Messages of condolences and remembering may be mailed to Terry, 2100 Castleford Rd., Apt 338, Midland, TX 79705.

Anne accomplished many things in her life. While living in St Louis and working at St. John's Mercy Hospital, she took advantage of their work/study program and received her Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license. At various times, she used her license to work as a private duty nurse, an office nurse and as a nurse at a boys ranch, responsible for the health and well being of 40 boys. In 2003, Anne began her ministry in the United Methodist Church as a student pastor while she prepared for her ministerial license. She completed courses online at St Paul's Seminary in Kansas City, MO and completed her requirements at Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX as a Licensed Local Pastor in the United Methodist Church. During her ministry, she served churches in IL, MO, AR and TX.
