March 7, 2015 – Calgary, Alberta
Richard "Dick" Allsop, 1949 – 2015, passed away after a long fight with cancer. He leaves behind to mourn, his beautiful wife Carol, four stepsons, Colin, Mark, Cameron and Graeme and their wives and children, sister Jane, nieces Sarah and Samantha, nephews Simon and Dave. There will be a Celebration of Dick's Life held at Southwood United Church (10690 Elbow Drive SW) on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. Forward condolences through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. In lieu of flowers, donations may be forwarded to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre at 1331 29 Street Northwest, Calgary, AB T2N 4N2. Telephone: 1 (403) 521-3723. In living memory of Dick Allsop, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.

"Dickie" is fondly remembered by myself and others who knew him in Stony Stratford, Bucks England in his younger days. He was well known for his musical talent in our Youth Club band, "The Ravons" and was well liked by all. His memory lives on.

Very saddened to hear of Dick's passing.
He was my sensei at the Dojo we worked out at in the early 2000s.
He was extra encouraging and supporting to me as I was an 'older' student. I will always remember him fondly for his kindness.

So sorry to read of Dick's passing. Got to know him over the years at the gym and for a while he tired his hand at real estate at our company. Just a very nice guy. Used to see him at First Alliance Church too. He is in a far better place now.
