We are saddened and shocked to hear of the passing of Richard. He was a childhood friend growing up in Glen Carlyn as well as a friend into adulthood. We had the pleasure of joining him and his lovely family at their beach house in Fenwick for quite a few years while our kids were growing up. Lots of great times and memories. Richard made some killer margaritas and always insisted on getting the biggest crabs possible. He was aLeah´s a gracious host! Our thoughts and prayers go out to Lisa, John Reynolds, Gregory and the rest of the family. May he rest in peace.

When the Love Story first began I was there.
Richard and Lisa have been perfect for each other from that first meeting. He made my best friend so very happy as they joined their lives together and built their family. Richard you are missed. As I was writing this and looked up...it was 7:47.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Richard some 36+ years ago, when you first brought him over for dinner, and he almost burned my kitchen down making Bananas Foster!! . I also have such fond memories of having the honor of being in your Wedding. He always had a smile on his face, was such a gracious and generous host, and made the world´s best omelettes! Richard had a true gift for telling stories, which were made even more entertaining with that accent of his! I am so sorry for your loss, but know he´s with you always, and knowing him, he´ll be sending you little signs that he´s around

Lisa, I am so very sorry to hear of Richard´s passing. While I didn´t know him, Annie had the warmest memories of him. She and I talked yesterday and she described `Mr. Benn´ asp warm, funny, and very engaging. She said he was one of the nicest Flint Hill dads she knew. You have Annie´s and my sincere condolences.

One of my favorite memories of Richard is when I came to Virginia just after John Reynolds was born. Richard took me sight seeing all around D.C. He want to make sure that I didn't miss out on anything. Thank you Richard

Richard made Justin and I welcome on our first trip with the OCLTC. He shared great stories as he knew how to live life. He promised Justin trip when we got back to Ocean City. Making good on his offer that summer they caught a blue and a few whites.

I will truly miss my friend Richard, we meet in the fishing world and shared many memories on the water. He was more than a friend, he helped me accomplish my dream of boat building, he caught the first marlin ever on a Spencer boat, to say he had a big heart would be an understatement for sure, he helped many people and I for one will never forget, smooth sailing buddy
