Richard Brolley Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 5, 2025.
Richard Fredrick Brolley born April 13th 1943, passed away at home on July 20th surrounded by His loving family after a brief illness. He was preceded in death by His parents Roger Brolley and Carolyn (Gleich) Brolley. He is survived by the love of His life, Gloria (Banks) Brolley, His adoring wife of 42 years. His siblings Sharon (Gary) Boyd, Mark (Debbie) Brolley, and LeeAnn (Brolley) Kanan. The mother of His only son, Diane (Reebok) Weekly, His only son Mark (Amy) Brolley and His bonus daughter, Trisha Alvis. Richard had 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren, with a 12th on the way.

Richard graduated from Marmion Military Academy and proudly served His Country as a Sharpshooter in The National Guard. He was sharp witted and had a wealth of knowledge in American History. He was a diehard Green Bay Packers and Notre Dame fan. He was an avid storyteller. To know Him was to love Him. He will remain deeply loved and sorely missed until we meet again in Heaven.

A special thank you to all who cared for Him at The Pearl of Tillers in Oswego and Suncrest Hospice. You all made His last wish to go home come true. We are forever grateful.

There will be a Celebration of Life Ceremony to be announced at a later date.

I already miss our epic conversations, watching Gunsmoke and Any Griffth, our listening to real music and drinking wine with you and Momma. I'm so thankful for the day you came into our lives and made us your family. I'm grateful for the myriad of things you taught me. I'm blessed to call you Poppa for 42 years. My heart is broken...I want you to know that I will take good care of Momma until the time She comes Home to you in Paradise. I love you,
