ELLENBERGER RICHARD K.
Of Altoona, PA died December 30, 2016 at Garvey Manor. He was born December 20, 1931 in Indiana, PA. Son of the late William Homer Ellenberger and Beatrice (Kelley) Ellenberger. He was married to Charlene (Shacikoski) on December 3, 1955; who died in June 2005. Survived by companion, Gloria Bowser of Altoona, PA; sons, Daniel C. Ellenberger of Mechanicsburg, PA and Curtis W. Ellenberger (Gail) of Scottdale PA; grandchildren, Ryan M. of Robesonia, PA, Richard P. of Hanover, PA, Samuel C. of Scottdale and Jaimie L. of Scottdale; two great-grandchildren, Kaydence of Robesonia and Gavin of Hanover. Proceeded in death by sister, Helen; brothers, Thomas and William. Attended First Church of the Brethren. Longtime sales engineer at American Roller Bearing Company. Received his Bachelor of Science degree from Tri State University and was a graduate of Homer City High School. He was a US Navy Veteran. He enjoyed golf and singing. He belonged to America Legion in Homer City, PA Post 0493; founding member of Holiday Park Fire Department, 1st Assistant fire Chief. A memorial service will be held at THE GOOD FUNERAL HOME INC., Altoona, PA on January 7, 2017 at 12 p.m. Interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Indiana, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to:
