Richard Geringer Obituary
Richard was born on March 24, 1942 in Fresno and married Dorothy on May 3, 1969. He grew up in Fresno and attended both Central High School and Fresno State University. Richard also served in the California Army National Guard.
A lifelong farmer, growing raisins and winegrapes, Richard had a strong passion for viticulture and agriculture in Fresno. His extensive leadership contributions to the agricultural community included serving as Fresno County Farm Bureau President and on the board of directors for Allied Grape Growers and the California Association of Winegrape Growers.
In his free time, he enjoyed traveling, winetasting, boating, and driving his 1942 Lincoln Continental.
Visitation with the family is taking place on March 22, 2018 from 4 p.m - 7 p.m. at Stephens and Bean Chapel located at 202 N. Teilman in Fresno.
A celebration of life service is being held at Biola Congregational Church located at 4717 Fifth Street, Biola, CA 93606 on March 23, 2018 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, please send your remembrances to support Biola Congregational Church and Hinds Hospice located at 2490 W Shaw Ave, Fresno, CA 93711.
