RICHARD LAWRENCE
Age 79, of new Wilmington, died Wednesday, March 30, 2005, born September 3, 1925, son of George and Mary (Hoffman) Kessler. He was retired from J&L Steel of Pittsburgh as a Maintenance Foreman and was a member of St. Camillus of New Castle. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the U.S. Army in the 69th Infantry Division. He is survived by his wife, Mary Kessler; two daughters, Jean R. Skipper & husband Ken of Vass, NC and Janet S. Robb & husband Terry of new Wilmington; three sisters, Alice Zola of Pittsburgh, Dorothy Rothert of Pittsburgh and Ester Peddicord of Pittsburgh; three grandchildren, Kate & Ben Robb and Alan Skipper; preceded in death by parents; 1 brother, George; three sisters, Marie, Mildred and Eleanor; also six dogs all named Charlie. Mass of Christian Burial St. Camillus of New Castle, 314 West Englewood Avenue, New Castle on Sat., April 2, 2005 at 10:00am with Fr. Phillip Farrell officiating. Interment St. Vitus Cemetery, New Castle. Visitation Friday, April 1, 2005 at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 310 W. Neshannock Ave., New Wilmington. Military honors will be at St. Vitus Cemetery by the new Castle Area Honor Guard following Mass.
