Richard R. Marble
October 28, 1949 – December 9, 2016

Rich passed away peacefully at Fox Nursing Home. He was born in Oneonta to Raymond and Angelita (Tarverez) Marble.

He is predeceased by both of his parents; a brother John; and brother in law Nelson Wells.

He is survived by his sisters, Violet Wells, Beverly (David) Fuller, Susan (Stan) Holmes; a brother, Brian Marble; many nieces and nephews; and a life-long friend David Monser.

He graduated from Oneonta High School on 1969. He then enlisted in the Army, serving in Vietnam with a rank of SSGT. He retired after working at Price Chopper and Morey's, and was co-owner of Muscles in Motion in Oneonta.

A memorial service with military honors will be held on Friday, December 23, 2016 at 12:00pm in the Bookhout Funeral Home, 357 Main Street, Oneonta. Calling hours will precede the service beginning at 11 am.

Our deepest sympathy to the entire Marble family. Rich was a fine man and will be missed. Hopefully he is at peace and out of pain now. Keep your memories alive and they will help with your grief.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Marble family. I have fond memories of growing up on Eighth Street with the Marble family right around the corner on Valleyview.. Rich will be missed. I know he is with the Lord and with loved ones.He valiantly served our country. May he rest in peace.
