Richard Brent Marriott

Richard Brent Marriott of Whitefish, MT passed away on September 4, 2023 of complications from cancer. Rich was born in 1947 to Gilbert E. and Helen S. Marriott in Ogden, UT. He was the seventh of ten children. He married Lindy McCluskey in 1976. Rich and Lindy met at the Robinson Bar Ranch in Idaho. Lindy was coming to the ranch to start her first day of work. Her mother dropped her off on the highway near the ranch and drove away. As Lindy started up the dirt road to the ranch, Rich, who worked for the ranch as a teamster, picked her up with the horses and wagon and dropped her off at the ranch. They worked together for a season, fell in love, and have been together ever since. Rich was well known for his skill in the concrete business.

Rich is survived by his wife, Lindy, three brothers, three sisters, many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. They all loved Rich's fun, teasing ways and tender heart. He made many friends everywhere he went.

We'd like to thank the doctors who cared for Rich through the years. The nurses were very special to him, and we appreciate their loving care and friendship.

A Celebration of Life will be 6pm-8pm September 27, 2023 at the Eden, UT Park Bowery.
