Richard L. Miller

February 22, 1966 - December 21, 2024

It is with great sadness that the family of Richard L. Miller announces his passing on Saturday, December 21st, 2024, at the age of 58. Rick is now reunited with his father, Ronald Miller, finding eternal peace by his side in heaven.

Rick was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, known for his generous spirit and heart of gold. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. He leaves behind his loving wife, Michelle, along with his four sons, Austin, Kaige, Saxton, and Cash; his daughters-in-law, Katie and Brittney; and his treasured granddaughter, Lucy. Rick took immense pride in his family, finding his greatest joy in their happiness.

His memory will also be carried on by his mother, Joanne; his identical twin brother, Dave (Terri); his sister, Deneen (Jeff); and his brother, John (Lisa). Numerous extended relatives and dear friends will forever hold him close in their hearts.

Born and raised in Belmont, CA, Rick graduated from Serra High School with a passion for the outdoors. Whether fishing, golfing, or playing softball in the city league with his brothers and childhood friends, he embraced every moment.

While in high school, Rick began his career as a floor installer in the family business, B&B Floors. Working alongside his father and brother, he not only built his professional foundation, but also formed lifelong bonds that extended far beyond work.

After moving to Rocklin, CA, in 1999, Rick welcomed some of the best years of his life-coaching his sons in baseball, spending sun-soaked days on the water with family and friends, and logging countless hours on the golf course. Summers were a time of joy and adventure, filled with boating, barbecuing, RV trips, and unforgettable moments with his family, and loved ones. One of his most treasured traditions was his annual fishing trip with his close friends-a highlight of every year.

Football season brought another cherished tradition-watching games with his sons by his side, a cold drink in his hand, and savoring every moment of their time together. Family was the absolute center of Rick's world, and he expressed his love through both actions and humor, never missing a chance to be with those who mattered most.

Rick, also known as "The Boss," was the hardest-working man and could fix anything with precision. His infectious laughter, kind heart, and unwavering commitment to those he loved left a lasting impression on everyone he met. As a father, he was a pillar of strength, always offering guidance, encouragement, and unconditional love.

Rick's legacy of hard work, generosity, and kindness will live on through his family and all who were lucky enough to know him. May he rest in peace.

Services to celebrate Rick's life will take place on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Calvary Cemetery and Funeral Center, 7100 Verner Ave., Citrus Heights, CA 95621. Viewing will be held at 11:00 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 12:00 PM. Reception services will follow.
