Richard Pevey Obituary
1975-2021
Captain Richard Pevey, Jr. went to be with his Lord, Jesus Christ on November 24, 2021.
Richard graduated from Stony Brook School in Long Island, N.Y and obtained his B.S. from St. Edwards University and his MBA from St. Thomas University. He was an avid outdoorsman and the best friend anyone could have. Richard had many professional interests. He assisted in establishing the Cath Lab at University General Hospital and founded Shallow Water Expeditions out of Matagorda, a fishing guide service that led to his starting the very popular and successful inshore saltwater fishing tournament. He also served as the CFO for several start up companies based out of Arkansas.
Richard is survived by his parents Richard and Marcia Pevey, brother Corbin Pevey his wife Sherry, sister Leah Fordham her husband John and nieces and nephews, Meghan and Madeleine Pevey and Grant and Aiden Fordham and his beloved golden retriever, Hunter.
His life was centered around faith, family and friends.
A service will be held at Chapelwood United Methodist Church, 11140 Greenbay St., Houston, Tx, 77024 on Friday, December 3, 2021; time tba.
