Richard PROULX Obituary
Passed away surrounded by family on April 29, 2013 at the age of 68 after a courageous battle with cancer. Survived by his loving wife Diane (nee Chartrand) and his two sons Dan (Claudette Lacasse) and Randy (Patricia Johnston). Cherished grandfather of Nicholas, Sophie, Paige, Chloe, Noah and Addison. Survived by his sister Odette (Richard MacKenzie) and predeceased by his sister Raymonde (Guy Cousineau). A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes (435 Montreal Road, Ottawa, ON) at 9:30 a.m. Friends and family may pay their respects at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. A reception will follow in the church hall. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. Online condolences can be made at www.firstmemorialfuneral.com.

Madame Proulx,
Plusieurs année se sont écoulé depuis que J'ai eu le plaisir de faire la connaissance de votre précieux époux Richard.
Ma copine et moi venait tout juste d'apdopter un ptit pitout que nous avions baptizer "Elton".
Richard nous as introduit a son bonne ami proche Buddy.
Un amitier fut developer a cette instant meme.
Pendant plusieurs année Richard fut quelqu'un qui ma inspiré,écouté,et aviser grace a ses experience de vie.
IL m'a inspiré durant mes periodes difficile et ma inspire d'avantage Durant sa pénible maladie.

It was an honor to get to know Richard and I'll always remember the time he helped me get back into my house. Great neighbors make it a joy to live on Michel Circle. Richard was the greatest. My deepest sympathies to the whole family.
