Richard Rowe Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 1, 2015.
Richard E. Rowe was a great father, husband, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. A loyal and faith filled man. He was born November 6, 1940 to Jim and Jane Rowe in Los Angeles, California. He attended California State University in LA and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Business. He played Minor League Baseball for the Oakland Athletics organization and the Cincinnati Reds organization among other teams for ten years. Richard had a career in sales and Pastoral Service. He also served in the Army Reserves.

Richard dedicated his life to feeding the poor and delivering supplies to orphanages in Mexico. Further, he led bible studies as well as church services for more than twenty years. He adored his family and his wife Julia of 25 years. He lived a good life full of faith, family and service to his community. All who knew him will dearly miss him.

He is survived by his wife Julia Rowe and his daughter Jennifer Fierberg as well as a very large extended family.

A celebration of his life will be held Saturday October 10, 2015 at 10am at Eternal Hills Chapel located at 1999 El Camino Real, Oceanside, CA 92054. There will also be a private viewing from 9-9:30am before the service at 10am.

Dick, my brother-in-law, my only brother. I will miss you. I have faith that I will see you, Bob, and the rest of the family members who have passed in heaven with our Lord, where there are no more tears and no more pain. Jesus, take good care of my brother!

I am proud to call Dick...my friend. He made me smile every time I saw him. I can definitely say that I was blessed that he was a part of my life. There is no better testament of a man than the footprint that he leaves in the lives of those he touched.
