Richard Tieman Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Nov. 30 to Dec. 1, 2016.
On Nov. 27, 2016, Richard Earl Tieman 64, of Racine, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and friends.
Richard was born in Rochester to Earl and Eva Tieman and is preceded in death by his father, Earl, and brother Allen.
Richard is survived by his daughters, Tanna, Kelly and Tracy Tieman; granddaughter, Aubrey Volkart; mother, Eva Tieman; siblings, Dawn Hardtke, Pam (William) Nelson, Jill Tieman, Joy (Ross) Bailey, Sandy Tieman, Terri (Peter) Hanson, Wendy (Bob) Peavler, Joseph (Wendy) Tieman, Amy Tieman, Brenda (Lance) Tieman, Dan (Kakada) Tieman, Andy (Amphone) Tieman, and Paul Tieman; and sister-in-law, Judy Tieman. He was the beloved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews.
Richard graduated from John Marshall High School in 1971. He went on to work for several local trucking businesses before becoming an owner/operator. He married Judy Fishbaugher in 1979. They had three girls and later divorced. Richard loved to spend time with his granddaughter, Aubrey. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, having a beer with friends, bingo, playing the lottery, rock and roll and showing off his long flowing hair. Always the first to lend a hand and the last to ever say "no." He will be remembered for his unwavering kindness and generosity. He will be dearly missed by family and many lifelong friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations may be made at any Bremer Bank to the account established in his daughters names (Tanna, Kelly and Tracy Tieman) or mailed to Bremer Bank, 119 E. First St., Stewartville, MN 55976-1220.

So sorry to hear of Rick's passing. He was a good friend of mine and I have lots of great memories growing up in our neighborhood. When I moved to Montana, he came out and rescued me when I decided to move back to MN. He always knew the answers to life questions and he was my go to guy for advice. I would love to know when a memorial is scheduled.

Rick was a great guy! His love for his family showed every time he spoke of his girls and granddaughter (which was always.) He was always so pleased with each of them and loved to brag them up. He was a wonderful person with a touch of mischief in his eyes. He will be greatly missed. Much love to you and your families.

So sorry to hear about Rick's passing. He introduced me to my late husband (and never let me forget it!). He was crazy proud of his daughters and I can only imagine how much you will miss him. Though we lost touch over the years, your dad will always be a special memory. Debbie Fitch

Richard was such an amazing guy. I can't explain how much he means to my kids and I. He helped us last summer by letting us live there because we had no where to go. It was the nicest thing anyone could have ever done was to help my 5 kids and I. He was so full of life. His laugh was contagious! He was always so giving and caring. Wish we could have more time with you. You forever changed our lives!!! Love you Richard ❤
