Richard Dow Williams, age 72, a resident of Carver Road in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at his home. Mr. Williams was born June 12, 1943 in Allgood, Tennessee the son of the late Dow and Peal Willbanks Williams. Also, proceeding in death is one son, Daniel Brent Williams. Mr. Williams served his country in the United States Army until he was honorably discharged. He was the owner of BTU Gas of Salyersville, Kentucky until his retirement and was a beef and dairy farmer. Those left to mourn includes companion, Pam Robinson Williams of Salyersville, Kentucky; son, Richard Shane Williams and wife Beth of Livingston, Tennessee; daughters, Lisa Reid of Cookeville, Tennessee, Amy Tipton and husband Cecil of Charlotte, North Carolina, Norma Leigh McCleran and husband Al of Jamestown, Tennessee, Shannon Moler and Darren Ley of Wilmington, Ohio, Crystal Reven and husband Jody of Houston, Texas, Rachel Williams of Salyersville, Kentucky; sister, Myra Burton of Cookeville, Tennessee; brothers, Garry Williams of Cottontown, Tennessee, Donnie Williams of Sherman, Texas; fourteen grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren. Also, a host of family and friends who love and miss him. Funeral services for Richard Williams will be conducted Saturday, November 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM here from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy Richard Green will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow in the Bluegrass Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Friday, November 13, after 5:00 PM and anytime prior to funeral services. Contributions can be made to the RIchard Williams Memorial Fund at the funeral home en lieu of flowers. Arrangements are under the direction of the Salyersville Funeral Home in Salyersville, Kentucky.
