Services for Rick A. Johnson, 41, Davenport will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation will be Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Mortuary. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Johnson joined his Heavenly Father on Friday, March 14, 2003, at Genesis Medical Center West Campus, Davenport, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was employed as a meat cutter at the Farmer's Market, Davenport. He also worked as a Sales Manager for Western-Southern and Monuments Insurance Companies, and had been an Installer for Dish Network, but most recently had worked at Oscar Mayer.
Rick Arthur Johnson was born on Sept. 25, 1961, in Davenport, the son of Richard Johnson and Barbara Messmer, and step-mother Marcia Johnson. He married Cheryl Bowker on Oct. 12, 1985 in Davenport.
Rick loved the Lord and his family, playing music, baseball, golf, fishing and was a member of the Turners Travel Bowling league.
Survivors include his wife, Cheryl, Davenport; sons, Jeramy Johnson and Justin Johnson both of Davenport; brothers, Jeffery, LeClaire; and Jason F. Messmer, Davenport; sisters, Kimberly Keelty of Wisconsin, and Kristen Jones and Leah Messmer, both of Davenport; step-sisters, Melissa Schade of Davenport and Laurie Schade of Rock Island; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Marguerite Johnson.
Memorials may be made to the family for the future education of Jeramy and Justin, or the Shriner's Hospital.
