Robert Arts (Slay) Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 12, 2024.
It is with both heavy hearts and grateful smiles that we announce the passing of our father, Robert Lloyd Arts (also known as Bob or Bobby) on October 17, 2024, at the age of 57. Born on October 10, 1967, in Prescott, Arizona, he was a man who lived for family, music, and the kind of laughter that would make your sides hurt.

A dedicated father to his two daughters, Jessica and Stevie, he was the kind of dad who could fix anything - from broken clocks to broken hearts. If something needed to be put back together, whether it was a wall, a model car, or a person's spirit, Bob had a way of making it happen. His hands may have worked miracles on the material world, but his true gift was the way he cared for those around him. No one left his presence without feeling better, even if it was just from the silly joke he told to make you smile.

Bob was a man of simple pleasures: a hot cup of coffee, his classic rock blaring (often Van Halen or ACDC, of course), and watching Nascar on the weekends. A lifelong fan of fast cars and even faster laughs, he was known for his quick wit and bigger-than-life personality. Whether he was cheering on his favorite driver or cracking a joke with friends, he brought an energy to every room that was truly contagious.

He was also a lover of dogs, having two loyal companions who will miss their walks and the treats he always had ready. Above all, he cherished his family - his mother, two sisters, three brothers, nephews, nieces, grandson, granddaughter and those of us lucky enough to call him dad. His love and care knew no bounds, and his memory will forever be a blessing to those who knew him.

Throughout his life in Prescott, Arizona, Bob helped build homes, build relationships, and build memories that will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and neighbors. His laughter, his generosity, and his ability to light up a room will be remembered long after he's gone.

Dad, we hope wherever you are, you're tuning your radio to a Van Halen song, enjoying a root-beer by the lake and telling everyone around you your favorite joke.

You're gone, but your love, your jokes, and your spirit will live on forever.

He is survived by his mother, siblings, daughters, Grandkids, nephews, nieces, his best friend Brenda, two dogs, and countless others whose lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Dad. You've earned it - and we're sure you've already found the best place to tell your jokes.
