Went to be with his Lord, October 25, 2017, at age 66. He was born July 1, 1951, in Lansing, MI, to Ivan and Dorothy Borton.

Bob graduated from Haslett High School in 1969. He served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam. He was an avid fisherman and member of Holt Baptist Church. Bob will be deeply missed.

He is survived by his loving wife of almost 36 years, Karen Borton; children, Star (Jon) Grimwood, Clint (Staci) Borton, and Whitney (Matt) Meissner; grandchildren, Wyatt, Zachary, Kaleb, Avery, and Lucas; father, Ivan Borton; mother-in-law, Betty Looney; siblings, Linda Simmons, Dave (Penny) Borton, Ruth Bradner, Tim (Sue) Borton, and Debbie (Craig) Foote; brother-in-law, Ken (JoAnn) Looney; and many nieces, nephews and other cherished extended family members. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy; brothers-in-law, Steve Simmons and Ken Bradner; and father-in-law, Elmer Ray Looney.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2017, at Holt Baptist Church, 2020 Dean Ave., Holt. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Dimondale. His family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the Estes-Leadley Holt/Delhi Chapel, plus one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
