LOUDON, NH - Robert W. Brodo, 61, died Sunday January 10, 2010 at Concord Hospital after a brief courageous battle with cancer.

He was born in New Bedford, Massachusetts on January 29, 1948 a son of Stephan and Ruth (Benjamin) Brodo. He attended local schools there and graduated from New Bedford High School.

He married Christine (Correia) Brodo in 1966. They remained in the greater New Bedford area to raise their children, Wayne and Kelsy.

In 1993, Robert and Christine moved to Loudon, New Hampshire. Robert was employed as a Plant Manager by Amatex Corp. in Laconia until his death.

He loved his family and grandchildren and working around his home. He was a great and well liked guy and as described by his children as"the best dad anyone could ask for."
He will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Christine D. (Correia) Brodo of Loudon; his son, Wayne R. Brodo of Plymouth, MA; his daughter, Kelsy M. Cunha and her companion Jared King of Hooksett; 2 brothers, Stephen Brodo of Dartmouth, MA and Kevin Brodo of Fairhaven, MA;
4 sisters, Karen Moran of New Bedford, MA, Gail Couture of Dartmouth, MA Debbie Hartzell of Fairhaven, MA and Stacy Jones of Acushnet, MA;
3 grandchildren, Candace Schaefer, Corey and Jarad Cunha and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours will be from 6 to 8pm on Wednesday at Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home.
Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Payson Center for Cancer Medicine c/o Concord Hospital, 250 Pleasant Street, Concord, NH 03301.
