Still have fond memories of Helen from Red Door where we worked together. She was a wonderful lady and a very important mentor in my life. Thoughts and prayers for your family during this anniversary of their passing.

John and David: I just now googled your folks when I didn't get a Christmas card and mine came back only to find their obit. I am terribly sorry to see this. They were some of our favorite people in the world and you kids played with our kids for years when you were young. This must have been a terrible shock to you and your kids. I am so sorry to hear of this tragedy. Pat Matthews Tillery

John & David,
I am crying today. I just goggled your Dad's name and learned what had happened to them a year ago. I should have known immediately when I quit receiving emails from them. I lost a son on June 8, 2016 so my mind was on other things. You may not remember me, Roger and I left Raytown in 1966. Roger passed away ten years ago.
We lived very close to you Mother and Dad and shared many happy hours with them both there and in Arizona. We visited them there a few times. I visited them there just a few years ago. My heart is broken for you and your families.

Heartbroken ar the sad news of the tragic deaths of my childhood pal Bob and his dear wife Helen. We were in classes together from Kindergarten at Whittier through Northeast High School class of 1948. Through the many years we remained in touch and in later years with emails we shared photos , family news and travels. Our last communication was about the upcoming trip to Montana. They were generous loving and giving people. They were so proud of the accomplishments of their sons and granddaughters. Always eager to share their lives. Bob and Helen leave beautiful memories of a lifelong friendship. They will be missed. Prayers for their families

Helen holds a very special place in my heart as my former boss at Red Door and also my mentor. She encouraged me to return to college where I got my associates degree in early childhood and she is the reason I am a Preschool director today. My heart is heavy with sadness of her and her husband's sudden passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

Bobby Brotemarkle and I were back yard neighbors and school mates from second grade on thru high school. We have corresponded thru email for the last couple of years .
I have fond memories of playing in a large box on the Brotemarkles picnic table . It was our aeroplane and Bob was the pilot and I the "hostess"! Early days of flight!
We, and all of us still left in our 80s,are saddened by this tragic loss at this time of life. The Whittier gang will miss him . The Northeasters still left will miss him.
Helen was such a great companion and lovely part of his life.
May their family live the kind of lives that they were so fortunate to have bequeathed to them.

Worked with Bob in Purchasing at Western Electric in the early 60's. He was a wonderful, helpful, co-worker. May they both rest in peace.

This is a terrible loss for all of you. I had many a conversation with one or both, mainly Bob, when they came into the Adobe fitness center to work out. So sad.
