Robert Crownover, a long-time resident of the Silver Valley area, died unexpectedly on October 3, 2015. He was 33 years old. He is survived by his wife of ten years, Eva Crownover, and their three children: Valeria, Janissa, and Kara. Robert was born to Donald and Cynthia Crownover on September 10, 1982, in Monterey, CA; the family moved to the high desert area when Robert was three years old. He is the second born of his siblings: Trish Kenyon from Hawaii, Robert Allen Gulley from Barstow, Krystal Crownover from Fullerton, and Daniel Crownover from Barstow. Robert had fourteen years of experience as a mechanic at the Yermo Annex and was currently the Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic Supervisor for the M88 Hercules. He served his country through a 15-month deployment to Afghanistan as a civilian attached to a military unit. Spending time with his wife and three daughters was the joy of his life, and being a loving husband and dad was Rob’s greatest accomplishment and his lasting legacy. An 11:00 a.m. memorial service is planned for Saturday, October 17, 2015, at Faith Baptist Church of Cherokee Road in Newberry Springs, CA. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund for the continuing education of Robert’s daughters has been established. Funds can be sent payable to Arrowhead Christian Academy (4030 West Yorkshire Drive, Glendale, AZ 85308) with “Crownover Scholarship” in the memo.

Eva and family, I am deeply saddened to hear this news. I worked with Rob over the past 5 years at MDMC as a resource to help him get some of the items he needed to do his job. My prayers are with you and the girls. I will sure miss him and his courteous, professional and respectful demeanor.

Hi Eva and girls, Jalene and I just wanted you to know how heavy our hearts are for you with the loss of Rob. I am so thankful for the times of conversation I was able to enjoy with him. I'm sure the loss is more painful than we can know. With that in mind we want you to know we are praying for you. We are praying that you will know God's unexplainable peace (Philippians 4.6-7) and that you will remember that He is able to do far more than we can imagine (Ephesians 3.14-21) Love in Christ, Torrey and Jalene Jaspers

I didn't get the chance to meet him since I moved to Newberry Springs. He lived only a few miles away. I bet we would of hit it off since we share a passion for Suzuki Samurais. God's speed Robert.

Robert was a coworker of mine on the M88A2 HERCULES. He was a very good and determined mechanic. He will be missed. We always shared a laugh. My prayers go out to his family.

Robert was a great man and an even better friend who always greeted me with a smile, handshake, and a hug even when I hadn't seen him in years. I still see him smiling from the last time I saw him a couple weeks ago. It fills my heart with sorrow that another family has to deal with such a monumental loss. He may be gone for now but he will always be remembered. My thoughts and condolences go out to Eva and everyone else in the family that is suffering. Be strong, Robert wouldn't have it any other way.
