Robert Farrington Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 7, 2025.
Robert "Bob" F. Farrington, born on April 2, 1942, passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025, at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York at the age of 82.

Bob grew up in Yorkville, where he cultivated a lifelong love for family, food, animals, and humor. Known for his kindness, strength, and selflessness, Bob was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who always put others first. His quick wit and warm heart left an unforgettable mark on all who knew him.

Bob proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ann; his children Rob, Tony (Kate), and Lori "Dolly" (Jodi). He embraced his role as a father with love and unwavering support, earning the heartfelt title of "the best dad". He cherished his grandchildren; Brenna, Ryan, Anthony, Connor, and Enzo. Bob's family was the center of his world, and he was their hero in every sense of the word.

A wake will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Nagel Funeral Home, located at 352 East 87th Street in New York City. A Funeral Mass will follow on Monday, January 13, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Monica's Roman Catholic Church at 413 East 79th Street in New York City. Burial will take place immediately after the service at St. Michael's Cemetery at 7202 Astoria Boulevard South in East Elmhurst.

Bob's legacy of love and laughter will live on through his family and all those fortunate enough to have known him. May his memory bring comfort to those who mourn his passing.
