Robert HAY Obituary
May 26, 1948 - February 5, 2015
Bob passed away peacefully with his family by his side following a year-long battle from complications of a stroke. Bob was born in Portage, Manitoba and was predeceased by his parents Gordon and Edna Hay. He is survived by his best friend Judi Brown, his three children Shayne (Suzan), Danielle (Niels) and Ryan (Courtney) and his grandchildren Caiden, Gabrielle, Makenna and Maelle. Bob is also survived by his brother Gerry (Ruth) and his niece Monica and nephew Derek. Bob was raised in Manitoba but spent most of his adult life in Vancouver. He enjoyed a career with Woodward's and then as an independent clothing line representative. He later retired and went back to his roots of truck driving and gardening to fill his time. In the past few years, Bob made his home in Madeira Park on the Sunshine Coast, a place sacred to his heart, and among a great community of friends. There will be a Celebration of Bob's Life on February 22, 2015 at 2 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion in Madeira Park. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

There are no words to express the loss of a father, brother, friend. My heart goes out to all of Bob' family. He will be missed by many.
