Robert Craig Kaiser

Robert Kaiser, 75, died peacefully in his sleep on July 28, 2023.

Robert was born in Chicago Illinois, to loving parents George and Kathryn Kaiser. He grew up in Glencoe, Illinois, attended New Trier High School, and received a bachelor's degree in engineering from Purdue University. After working for Lockheed for several years, he moved to Los Angeles where he was the manager of the Westwood Bookstore and worked various jobs in the film industry, most notably on "Class" and "UFOria." For the last 23 years, he partnered with his wife in a successful career selling real estate on the west side of Los Angeles.

Robert was a gentle soul, a loving husband and father, and a devoted friend. He was a quiet leader, humble but intelligent and wise. He was a patient listener, always had a twinkle in his eyes, and was quick to laugh. He had a way of bringing out the best in others.

Robert was a gifted athlete, loved to hike and sail, and occasionally broke 80 on the golf course. He had a deep love for books and movies and was a voracious reader, always eager to soak up new knowledge.

Robert is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Cynda, as well as his daughter Jennifer Ellis, and grandchildren, Rosalie Ellis and Skyler Ellis, sister-in-law Susan Kaiser, Krispin, Ralph, and Nikki nephew John Manninger, great nieces and nephews, Daylen, Davin, Scarlet, Charlie, Julia, Oliver, and his beloved doggie, Piper.

In lieu of a service, there will be a private scattering of ashes at a later time. Donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity.
