A celebration of Bob's life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 19th at the Al Azhar Shrine Centre, 5225-101 Street N.W.

I worked with Bob a number of years ago. He was a true gentleman, and he left a lasting positive impression on me and everyone he met. He always appeared with a smile and a kind word. My sincerest condolences to the whole family, but especially to his beloved Arlene.

I have just received news of Bob's death.
I'd known Bob for years as a lawyer, neighbour, friend. A real gentleman and a real doer. He and I were very involved in the Senior Lawyers Section of the Canadian Bar Association. Bob was the guts of Senior Lawyers from which so many derived so many happy memories and enjoyment ... He knew how to get things done better than anyone I ever knew.

I was very sad to hear that Mr. Kerr had passed away. My siblings and I have fond memories of him when we were kids/young adults. It was great that he was able to attend Mom and Dad's anniversary party in June so that we could catch up with him one last time. My deep condolences to Mrs. Kerr and the rest of the family.

Bob Kerr was a great person and gentleman in every way and I certainly enjoyed working with Bob and Allan for 12 years. My sincere sympathy to Arlene, Glen, Guy and Gregor and all of the Kerr family.

Our hearts and prayers go out to you in your time of grief. With Bob's passing, we are all reminded of the great friendships that formed at the Bar Kay Cee. Dolores and i just heard of of Bob's passing. We remember our times together at the Bar Kay Cee. We rode together we enjoyed social gatherings, life at the Ranch was great and major contributors to the high quality of Ranch Life were the Kerr's. I also experienced some business dealing with Bob and
knew him from a professional experience. Always a gentleman always pleasant and always carring.
Bob will be missed and Calgary and area are better for having
him live his life here with us.

Thank you for the work you have done for us in previous years as a lawyer. Bob and Arlene spent many a night talking and laughing together at Pizza night in Lakeview. If our parents Ray and Eleanor Allen were missing calls on a Tuesday night, we knew they with the Kerr's, having a wonderful time. He will be missed dearly by them, and all that knew him.

That Bob was remarkable is obvious. I am particularly thankful for his dedication and his person -- both of which he bestowed with love on the 18th Cub Pack for decades. And a generous "thank you" to Arlene and their children for supporting Bob as he lived an honourable life of service to others. I hold you all in my heart.

I met Bob at the reading of my grandfathers will in 1965 when I was age 20. Grandad had left me and my 18 year old cousin, Darrell Cook, 2 old houses in NW Calgary. Bob said " You boys can go ahead and sell these and buy a new car or take a trip, or, you have the makings of a small real estate company here so why not try your hand at building something". 49 years later I look back at what was the best advice I could have ever been given. I know I am only one of many that he touched over the years.

Sonja and I are currently on a cruise in the Baltic. Sorry to hear about bobs passing. He was a valued member of the 18th scout troop as a cub leader and mentor to new leaders for more years than can be counted. His leadership and good nature will be missed

Some of my fondest memories are riding with Bob and Arlene down such memorable routes as "Panty Lane" and across the neighbouring lands where Bob would invariably yell "Geronimo" so we could have a great gallop across the fields. We will miss Bob so much. There are so many great Stampede memories of Bob with Arlene by his side. Square dancing, talking, laughing, having a party. Rain or shine, hot or cold Bob was always enjoying every minute he was with his square dancing friends. His cowboy hats were his trade mark. Eulogizing Bob Kerr is not a difficult endeavour.
I met him in 1971 when he agreed to take me on as his articling student. I spent the next 19 years practising law with him, first as his student, then his associate, and finally his partner.
Our association, or "marriage" if you will, was a honeymoon throughout. He mentored me as only Bob could do.
I learned from him the importance of honesty and integrity. That your word is your bond. The importance of courtesy and to always be a gentleman. Sure, he taught me about the practice of law, but the life lessons were every bit, or more important.
He taught me the importance of, and satisfaction in, volunteerism. Bob, of course, belonged to everything. Rotary, Scouts, Calgary Stampede, Shriners, and on and on.
I was privileged and very fortunate to have Bob as my mentor, partner and friend.
He was a great guy and a true gentleman and made this world a better place.
My heartfelt condolences go out to Arlene, Glen, Guy and Gregor and the entire Kerr family.
I will miss you Bob.

So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Kerr. Thoughts and prayers going out to Mrs. Kerr and the boys along with the rest of the family.So many of my memories from summers spent out at the Bar KC, are with Mr. Kerr and his family, such great neighbors. I lost my dad four years ago this coming October, the pain is always there but the memories and the love is priceless!!!! Hold tight to each other!!!

Bob's Spirit and dedication to the community will always be remembered by the Calgary Stampede Square Dancers who got to "Allemande Left" and "Go down that middle" with him for over 25 years. We will miss him and are thankful that his legacy lives on..

Arlene and Family, You lost an amazing husband, a role model as a father, and a very proud grandfather. There are many of us who lost an awesome friend who shared his life so openly with us. Bob's ability to connect with people and share his abilities and time with community service is part of his legacy.
His willingness to be involved in so many different areas is a part of who he is. Bob was a gentle, sharing individual who was always there to reach out to everyone.
