My family would hear Dr. Lamont speak each and every Sunday from the pulpit of the First Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh and then that night I would listen to the same sermon over KDKA on a transistor radio under my pillow. It was like hearing a prophet, or an apostle. He was so strong and clear and so good. I gained a huge ballast of love that has lasted a life time from listening to him. When he left First Church I was honored to carve a slate plaque for him in the form of the pulpit he occupied for so many years. His voice will ring in my heart as long as it beats.

Mrs. Lamont, Bob, Karen and Joanne, I just found Dr. Lamont's obit. It was inevitable that he would go to his maker, but it is always a shock, leaving a void. So sorry for your loss--our loss. Love to all of you, Janet K. Seapker (former member of First Church and successful veteran of his marriage ceremony)

Dear Edna, Paul and I are heartbroken for you in the loss of Bob's physical presence with you. We remember the powerful and loving influence he had on Paul's life and ministry, and fondly recall the special visits we had at your home in Alton Bay. We know Bob is singing with the heavenly choirs now and that the LORD will sustain you through this time of separation from him. All our love and prayers.

Bob, Karen and Joanne, I was so sad to hear of your dad's passing. The memories flood my mind. I don't know where to start. He was such an inspiration to me as I was growing up and continued to be so as we met with your mom and your dad for dinner and at the lake. I have been praying for you since I heard the news. God's peace Sharon Dietrich (and Duff)
