I had the good fortune to share the stage with Bob at St. James. He immediately made that troupe a new home for me with his humor and compassion. When I think of Bob I smile.

I worked with Robert at the Home Depot as a cashier. He was a sweet and funny person, always joked and I enjoyed working with him. He will be solely missed at our 1987-Glenview store. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. I'm sorry I couldn't be there yesterday, but I said a prayer for him that I am sure he is at peace. Take care, and may God be with you and yours.

I met Bob through L&L Graphic Solutions, doing design work for him and the company. He was great to work with, always cheerful!
I offer my prayers and sympathy to the family at this hard time.

Until we meet again Bob, keep them entertained!

Bob and I met at Winsberg's Department Store where, as teens, we both had our first jobs. (He will tell you he was the best skate sharpener-ever!) In young adulthood we lost track of each other and I haven't seen Bob in 40 years. It is with tremendous sorrow that I read Bob's obituary. I'd always hoped to reconnect with him someday. Bob remained unforgettable because his heart was HUGE and he filled every room with sunshine, humor, kindness, and SONG. Our department (sporting goods and boys clothes) was in the store's lower level, so we had free reign over the place. Bob did impersonations of all the store managers. They were spot-on and we would die laughing. He also did a good Johnny Mathis. He'd create musical revues and get us all singing, Bob always the star the show. I enjoyed seeing the photo tribute of Bob and his beautiful family. It makes me happy to see he had a life so rich in love! Please accept my most heartfelt condolences. May you find comfort in your many memories of him.

I have known Bob Leff on and off the stage, for 16 years. Seeing Bob as a Performer, Husband, and Father, have been very inspiring things to draw on. Bob Leff was always thought of as a great friend. Life is better, because Bob was a part of mine. Many blessings and prayers to Kate, Jessica, Matt, and Marissa.

Bob loved life, he loved his family, he loved his children. I heard about it every day for 8 years. We will miss his humor, his laugh, and his entertainment. He always brought joy to the room and immediately became the center of attention. He impacted children as well as adults. I will never forget my dear friend Bobaloo. Our deepest sympathies to the family from all of us here at L&L Graphic Solutions. ~ Anthony LoCascio

I was fortunate enough to meet Bob when we were performing together in the, "Sound of Music" at St. James, in 2001. He immediately became a wonderful friend and one of my favorite preformers! I was blessed to have him play my mother in Cinderella, as he was cast as the evil stepmother. Truly, that was the most fun I have ever had in a show! Bob lit up my life and I know he did this for so many others. I am so glad I got a chance to have his friendship. He also passed on his loving and fun ways to his family. They are all some amazing people! Bob I will miss you!

I am so saddened to hear of your and our loss of a truly sweet man. He was a happy good father, husband and neighbor on Vail. The neighborhood and your dear family will feel the void. But his bigger than presence in everyone he touched will resonate forever.
