Robert LEVINE Obituary
Peacefully, with grace and dignity, on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, eight days short of his 99th birthday. Devoted husband of the late Julia Schafran. Beloved father and father-in-law of Janis Levine, Elaine Levine and Greg Pappas. Cherished grandfather of Joe Brier and Samara Perez, Tali and Asaf Sviry. Proud great-grandfather of Danielle Sviry. Predeceased by his sister and brother- in-law Marion and Jack Greenwood. Will be greatly missed by his nieces, nephews, family and friends. Many thanks to the staff at Place Kensington for ensuring his comfort and providing wonderful care over the years. Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean-Talon St. W., on Friday, January 6 at 12:00 noon. Burial at Congregation Shaar Hashomayim Cemetery, 1250 ch. de la Forêt, Outremont. Shiva at his daughter Janis' home in Montreal, commencing Saturday evening, January 7th. For shiva details please visit www.paperman.com. My condolences to Janis and Elaine on the loss of their beloved and remarkable father whose life was a model for all of us - engaged, curious, dignified, devoted to his patients and his family. I have fond memories through the decades, and was very admiring of his dignity and acceptance in aging well. I am so sorry for your loss. May his memory be a forever blessing.
