Robert Mica Obituary
Robert C. Mica, Sr., age 86, entered into rest on Sunday, February 19th, 2023 surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Elizabeth "Dolly" (Salemme) Mica for 62 years. He was born on March 19th, 1936, the son of the late Anthony and Mary (Svehlak) Mica. Robert was a longtime tool and die maker at the Bassett Company until he retired. He was also a lifetime resident of Shelton. Robert enjoyed UCONN women's basketball, tending to his vegetable garden, and baking Hungarian cookies.
Robert is survived by his daughter Lisa DeZolt, his sons Robert Mica, Jr. (Debbie) and Anthony Mica (Jen), his 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Friends are invited to greet Robert's family on Thursday, February 23rd from 9:30 to 11:00 am at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road Shelton. Robert's Funeral Service will begin in the funeral home at 11:00 am. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. Online condolences can be offered to Robert's family at www.riverviewfh.com.
