Robert Francis Palardy, 85, passed away on December 27, 2024, in Danbury, CT. Born on July 10, 1939, he dedicated much of his life to serving his community and his faith.

Bob joined the Danbury Fire Department in 1968, beginning his distinguished service in ambulance duty from 1970. His commitment and care in this role earned him numerous accolades and heartfelt letters from those he aided. His career spanned several decades, during which he profoundly impacted the lives of many in Danbury.

A devout member of the First Assembly of God, Bob dedicated his life to serving the Lord, participating actively in church activities and community service. His faith was a cornerstone of his existence, guiding his actions and interactions.

Bob also had a passion for sports and coaching, serving as a coach for the Danbury Women's Softball League from 1982 to 1994. His love for the NY Mets and the Giants was well-known among his family and friends, often bringing them together for games and celebrations.

He is survived by his wife, Catherine (Howe); son, Robert Jr. (Sherri); daughters, Karen (John) Laskowski, Laurie (Mark) Lyons, and Barb (Ron) Hollister; along with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, Andrew Sr. and Rita Coffey; son, William Palardy Sr.; siblings, Andrew Jr., James, Pamela Surovy, and Marita Palardy; and grandchildren, Christopher, Nicholas, and Malania.

A private family service will be held, with no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Robert's memory can be made to Tunnel2Towers, supporting a cause he deeply cared about.
